The Dish: At just 185 calories, this skinny margarita has plenty of flavor! This is combination of many margarita trials and fails to find a refreshing and enjoyable skinny margarita. You can decrease or eliminate the agave if you prefer no sweetener. Enjoy!
Serving Size: 1 cocktail
INGREDIENTS
2 ounces Tequila (For this recipe I like Casamigos Blanco)
1/4 ounce Cointreau
1/4 ounce Fresh Orange Juice (juice from about 1 wedge, I used a naval orange)
1 ounce Fresh Lime Juice (about 1 whole lime, with 1 wedge saved)
1/2 teaspoon Agave
1 teaspoon Sea Salt
1 Lime wedge
DIRECTIONS
If you like salt on the rim: Pour the salt onto a plate or cutting board. Cut a slit in the lime wedge and go around half of the glass being used. Drag the lime-rimmed glass through the sea salt.
Start here if you do not like salt on the rim: Fill glass with ice and set aside.
In a shaker, combine tequila, Cointreau, orange juice, lime juice, agave and a pinch of the sea salt. Fill with ice and shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds.
Pour into ice-filled glass, add lime wedge as a garnish, and enjoy!
